Skills are the backbone of character growth. By spending Skill Points (SP) earned through battle, you acquire and level up skills — each of which raises specific character parameters and can unlock powerful abilities or even crafting opportunities.
Beyond stat gains, skills serve as prerequisites for unlocking Item Creation (IC) Skills and Field Actions. Some of the most impactful movement abilities — Dash, Float, Swim — are gated entirely behind skill levels. If those are your goal, build toward them early.
Skills are divided into four categories. No one character can master all skills — leveling one category suppresses the opposing side of the skill graph.
The skill difficulty (1–4) determines how strongly a learned skill suppresses the opposing category. Higher difficulty skills have greater suppression impact — plan accordingly.
